Andre Lotterer completed his first miles behind the wheel of Porsche's 919 LMP1 car yesterday (Tuesday).

The German moves across to Porsche from sister marque Audi following their withdrawal from top flight prototype competition, and will race alongside Le Mans winners Neel Jani and Nick Tandy in the #1 car this season.

Lotterer's first running for his new employer came at Motorland Aragon in Spain, where he piloted a disguised version of the latest iteration of the successful 919.

He is the only driver from Audi's LMP1 programme to find an alternative drive in the same class, with former team mates Benoit Treluyer, Marcell Fassler, and Oliver Jarvis still searching for 2017 drives. Meanwhile, Lucas di Grassi and Loic Duval have confirmed they will be remaining with Audi, albeit in Formula E and DTM respectively.

I'm surprised Treluyer, hasn't got a drive sorted out. He's an impressive driver.
